Greg Hywood, Chief Executive Officer, Fairfax Media, 23 July 2012


Greg Hywood addressed a private boardroom event for 18 senior business executives where he discussed Fairfax Media’s journey of change from a predominantly print business to a predominantly digital business.This CEO Boardroom lunch was proudly sponsored by Allen & Overy and Optus Business.

Mr Hywood
recognises the media plays an important multi-faceted role in our communities and Fairfax Media has long been at the heart of it and will be in the future.

Greg Hywood was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2010 and Chief Executive and Managing Director in 2011.

Greg has enjoyed a long career in the media and government. A Walkley Award winning journalist, he held a number of senior management positions at Fairfax including Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of each of The Australian Financial Review, The Sydney Morning Herald/Sun Herald and The Age. He also held the position of Group Publisher Fairfax magazines.
