Minister Shorten led a senior group of financial services executives on a trade delegation to Israel investigating Israel's superannuation, seed fund, technology incubator and VC models.
The purpose of the visit was twofold:

2. understanding the country's innovation and entrepreneurship culture-beginning with a society of leadership and risk management, and how it can be adopted into the Australian society.
The weeklong visit incorporated meetings with Israel's leading industry and government figures, including, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Shimon Peres, Governor Stanley Fischer, Founder of Check Point, Gil Shwed and many more...
The group also visited some of Israel's most iconic tourism sites, including the Old City of Jerusalem, Holocaust Museum 'Yad Va'Shem', Dead Sea and Masada.
