Ian Wheatley addressed a boardroom lunch of 20 senior procurement executives where he discussed “Challenges & opportunities for procurement in a complex organisation such as Telstra”. This event was proudly hosted by Toga Hospitality.

Ian Wheatley is the Executive Director Procurement for Telstra, overseeing core procurement functions for Telstra Corporation company wide, including fixed line, mobiles, broadband (BigPond®), information, transaction and search (Sensis®) and pay TV (FOXTEL).

Ian’s business expertise spans 30 years at Telstra across three key areas including Technical Field Operations, Human Resources and Procurement.

The ability to deliver effective business outcomes and manage high performance teams lead to Ian’s current appointment as Executive Director Procurement. In this role, Ian managers several teams responsible for delivery of procurement functions, strategic sourcing, vendor management, fleet management and the Telstra property portfolio, both commercial and network.
