2008 - Innovation Series IVS2 - CURTINNOVATION - Topic - CLEVER SOLUTIONS FOR COMPLEX CHALLENGES

The global obstacles facing us seem daunting, but failure to find a solution is not an option. INNOVATION IS THE KEY. Curtin, with its track record of using cutting edge research to solve ral world problems, is committed to partnering with industry and the community to meet the challenges and capitalize on opportunities. This event featured five Curtin Innovations at various stages of global commercialisation, showcasing just a few of the technologies being generated which have the potential to put Perth on the world map as a centre for creative solutions. Spanning applications as diverse as the development of much needed new therapeutics and low cost communications solutions, through the breakthroughs in metal extraction and oil and gas production, Curtin research addresses a wide spectrum of needs, including an exciting new media browser which provides a heretofore unheard of experience in personal media management.
